Asuka Historical National Government Park Hall

This facility is a great jumping-off point for visits to Asuka. In addition to providing information about the park’s five areas and events, it introduces the region’s historic sites and history with three-dimensional models and videos. There are also pamphlets providing information about the park’s attractions in English, Korean, simplified Chinese, and traditional Chinese.

Takamatsuzuka Tumulus and Takamatsuzuka Mural Museum

Takamatsuzuka Tumulus rapidly became famous when colored murals were discovered there in 1972 (the murals were subsequently designated a National Treasure). Although those paintings cannot be viewed due to ongoing restoration work, a replica and reconstruction of the brilliantly colored works of art can be seen at Takamatsuzuka Mural Museum.
